Ronald Vermeer

    Ronald (AWP) Vermeer works for Environmental Science focusing on the use of crop protection agents for non-agricultural use, such as Vector control, Pest management, Industrial vegetation, and turf management. He worked the last 20 years at different positions within Bayer CropScience with a strong focus on improving the biological efficacy of active ingredients by developing optimized formulations with reduced environmental impact. Main topics of interest relate to how new (application) technologies such as precision farming, the use of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or controlled release strategies will affect the way the farm of the future will look like.
    He studied Chemistry at the Radboud University in Nijmegen and holds a PhD degree from the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands. Next to his professional career at Bayer he is acting as associate editor for Pest Management Science.
